Low Calorie Diet Foods may work for some people but for the majority of us they do not work and usually find that we put the weight back on. The body needs a certain amount of calories every day to ensure that we are healthy and not damaging any of our organs.
When going on Low Calorie Diets your body usually has a very low metabolism rate which means you are not burning enough fat in your body to lose weight. Many will find that they will lose weight very quickly but in the long term will gain all the weight back, so it is important that you eat enough calories in your diet to fuel your body.
Going on low calorie diets of 1000 – 1200 calories can also lead to muscle mass loss which can make it more difficult for you to lose weight as muscle in the body helps you burn fat even when you are not exercising.
It is sometimes unfair that some people find it hard losing weight and some burn more calories than others, but if a slow metabolism is holding you back from losing weight you can do something about it.
Genetics is an important factor when losing weight and working out your BMR (basal metabolic rate) which means what you burn while you are not active.
