Low Calorie Diet Foods – Do They Really Work?
Low Calorie Diet Foods may work for some people but for the majority of us they do not work and usually find that we put the weight back on. The body needs a certain amount of calories every day to ensure that we are healthy and not damaging any of our organs.
When going on Low Calorie Diets your body usually has a very low metabolism rate which means you are not burning enough fat in your body to lose weight. Many will find that they will lose weight very quickly but in the long term will gain all the weight back, so it is important that you eat enough calories in your diet to fuel your body.
Going on low calorie diets of 1000 – 1200 calories can also lead to muscle mass loss which can make it more difficult for you to lose weight as muscle in the body helps you burn fat even when you are not exercising.

By focusing on increasing your metabolism rate you will soon see positive results in your weight loss goals and also for the future. A great way to increase your metabolism is by eating up to 5 smaller meals through out the day which will burn fat much faster.
It is important that we stay away from fad diets as they will not help you lose the weight long term. Some of these fad diets include drinking diet shakes and bars all day and this will not get you the right nutrients your body needs to help you lose weight.
Exercise is also very important. By doing cardio exercises such as running or swimming you will also be burning fat and toning up your muscles in the body. You may find that you will put on a few kilos when doing any type of weight training exercises, but do not worry too much about it as it will help you get rid of the fat content in your body and keep the weight off.
If you are unsure how many calories you should be eating go and see a dietitian which they will let you know how many calories you should be taking to speed up your metabolism. There are also breathing tests that you can do which let you know how many calories your body burns, this machine actually measures your resting metabolic rate (RMR) which then lets you know how many calories you burn per day for a healthy body. So try to stay away from low calorie diet foods and you will find that you will burn more fat much faster.
